i dont really know much on that stuff the only thing i do know ive done is turned every feature in the firewall off and havent messed with or know how to on the TCP connections

I would not advise turning off your firewall. Is this how you have been operating with the IFC client in the past? When you first run a program that requires network access, you should be prompted to take action (allow/deny/block). I would turn your firewall back on and run the infinitecoin-qt.exe client and see if you are prompted.

i havent been prompted for anything like that even after re-enabling the firewall

Fire up your Infinitecoin-qt.exe client. Let it run for a few minutes.  Then, do the following:

- Open a command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd.exe (enter))
- Type 'netstat -na > netstat.txt'   (This will create a file, netstat.txt in the current directory. Make note of the location).  By default this is c:\documents and settings\<yourusername>
- Copy/paste this information to me in a PM and post here that you've done so. I ask for it in a PM as this information can expose some configuration information about your system.

Once I receive this information, I'll take a look and see if there are any glaring issues.

Thanks,

DW
