I am pretty clued up on computers, but totally new to the world of cryptocurrencies, and I am looking to begin mining some IFC, although every guide I have found seems quite complicated, and has lots of cryptocurrency terminology which I am not familiar with?

Are there any guides out there?

I am running a Mac, but I have Windows XP running on Parallels Desktop.
