IFC Only Market/Sales
« on: October 19, 2013, 10:47:25 PM »
Hi all.

I know this is an odd first post, but I thought I might attempt something a little different.  I've setup an "Alpha" market space.  At the moment, there is only one item available for sale, but this will expand quickly and dramatically if people are interested.

What I would like, is for a few people to help out with testing.  These are the things I need to people to try
  • Account Creation
  • Checking for Bugs
  • Purchasing Content
  • Downloading Content
  • Receiving of Transaction Emails

As you can see, I've set the pricing at $0.05 USD, but all purchases are made in IFC through the checkout.

If you purchase the item, I will refund you for it, and I'll even wear the TX Fee.  I just want to test it is all.

Here is the address : http://market.viewskew.com/

Also, if you're interested in putting something up for sale, let me know.  Ill be carrying things like Steam Keys (instant delivery) etc.  No Auctions.

Remember, the payments take about an hour to clear using IFC.  Also remember that I'm only online during NZST (+12 Hours) time, so will only be able to refund while I'm online.

Thanks guys.

Have a great weekend!

Hello! I am very happy to see anyone developing markets for IFC. I created an account, got the confirmation email, logged in, added the item to the cart, and submitted the order without problems. I don't have a coinpayments account so I couldn't tell you how the rest went, but I had zero issues. I am excited to see what else you have in store. Thanks for helping build the IFC community!

@TECSHARE - Ive worked it out so you dont need a Coinpayments account.  Just add your name, choose "IFC" as the currency, and follow the prompts.  It takes you to a new page where it gives you the amount to send, and the address to send it to.  Coinpayments is only acting as a Merchant, they only varify payments, nothing more.  That means you dont need to sign up for an account with them, its all carried out through the market.  If you want me to send you a few IFC to test with, just shoot me an address.  $0.05 US cents runs about 50,000 IFC.  The intention is for the likes of your Steam Inventory to be put up on the Market.  You give me the gift key, I put it in a TXT file as a digital download; upload it to the server and prepare the item.  Purchase is made and delivered instantly via the website; I forward the IFC on to you.  Something like that anyway.

@Noobular - Im not sure if there will be user generated content.  I lack the skills to develop that far.  It would require a lot more knowledge than I possess.  Though I would be happy to put up items on behalf of other people.  I'm thinking of things that can be digitally downloaded, like game keys; music; e-books etc.  Mind you, if anyone is interested in helping me develop this, into something more user oriented, I'd be grateful for the help :)

Just for those who want to know, its basically Drupal + Ubercart with the Coinpayments Plugin.

@TECHSHARE - Thanks for trialing the payment system.  Just a quick couple of questions.

 - Were there any issues?
 - Was the download delivered properly?
 - Did you get the email with the download link?
 - Was the flow of the transaction simple to follow?
 - Over all, how did you find the experience?

Oh, and shoot me your address so I can refund you bro.

Cheers again :)
