Right now even the forums being down are making communication more difficult seeing as most people used it to communicate. People are speculating that the forums were "hacked" as a pretext for deleting sensitive information form the servers. Additionally others are speculating that the servers were seized. These scares have made the cryptocoin prices very volatile lately. What long term impacts do you think it will have on IFC?

Short-term it made the marketcap fall to usd$93000

Longterm, well cryptocurrency is still very much in its infancy.

We need to see which ones will fail, IFC is 14th on the global crytpo-currency market, this is out of around 40 cryptocurrencies.

Unless we see major sites (legitimate sites) who use predominately use BTC , also use IFC , then we we could see ourselves slipping further down the scales

IFC is indexed on BTC.
BTC value can only raise except if the coin dies.

Now, we saw a huge sell off on BTC. The price dropped around 40% at its worst.
After this sell off, some people saw opportunities to buy some BTC cheap.

This means that Bitcoin is on a whole new level.

Before, we heard BTC was a ponzi, because of Pirateat40's ponzi scam. We can't say that anymore.
Then, it was a junky tool to buy drugs anonymously on the internet. For a few days, we can't say that anymore.

Maybe the BTC needed SR to get stronger, a few years ago. Like it needed this 10,000 BTC pizza deal to get any value..
Now, BTC don't need SR anymore. It's way stronger, imo.

IFC will follow, and will find it's users later, massively. Just wait for crypto-coins to become mainstream. :-)
